Guys, I can't tell you how excited I am that Tiff said the sewing machine was done. I have been observing some mellow moments in my life right now, and I think I would enjoy a moment or two alone with my sister, my girls, and God.
These crafts should be fun, but I am looking forward to them simply being a side note to what I am all about. I want watermelon day "goods" to be known for it's love, not just for babies, but for the people who create them, and for those who wish to purchase them.
When I make something, or buy something, I always think about the person I buy/make for. I imagine the look on their faces when they open it, and try to understand how great a sentimental gift may feel.
It all boils down to love. Sometimes we don't edify one another, don't acknowledge someone who has continuously acknowledge us, but in the end I think only SOME of those things matter.
Let me explain:
I have found that in the smallest of actions, you do the most harm. So, in life, I have always sought out the smallest actions to make the biggest impact. Saying hello, offering a friendly hug, telling someone they are great.
In essence, Bring Joy. Bring Life. Bring happiness in all you do.
What does this have to do with sewing, and making goods for the shop? Everything.
With goodness, and love, these things will promise to make someone feel great.
I'm so excited about our first product- I will let you know how it goes, and post pictures when complete! Have fun!
